Timber Framed Homes
Log cabins and timber framed homes are beautiful but installing a conventional wood stove can be a worry for homeowners due to the risk of heat/sparks exiting the flue terminal igniting the wood.
Ecco Stove provides a solution that offers peace of mind to homeowners to mitigate the risk of a house fire.
The Ecco Stove is a masonry stove comprised of modular sections complete with built in contraflow channels. Before the spent combustion gases leave the stove, they must pass through these channels. This reduces the flue gas temperature and at the same time collects nearly all sparks and embers in the base to be safely vacuumed out at a later point. With a flue gas temperature of only 428°F under abuse firing conditions and a typical flue gas temperature of 248-356°F. This is a significant decrease over traditional stoves and open fires which can easily reach 662-1022°F.
Ecco Stove are also much safer in the room itself with an operating surface temperature of 392°F. Traditional metal stoves surface temperatures are typically 842°F – 932°F under fire. Heat generated from an Ecco Stove radiates gently for up to 12 hours after the fire has gone out.
